Northwest, USA : Seattle, Washington

The whale watching season starts in April/May, through the summer and into September in the northwest. Whale watchers can expect whale sightings almost 98% of the time and the most common whales of the northwest are Gray and Ocra whales. If you are new to whale watching then you will learn all about them from the knowledgable naturalists that ride on many of the boats. Other attractions of the Seattle area is the Puget Sound, the Olympic Peninsula and Cascade Mountain Range and the city of Seattle. The noble Mt. Rainier provides a backdrop for the bustling metropolitan city that has become the most desirable vacation destination in the Northwest region of the United States. Many of the whale watching operators of the region take their passengers up to the San Juan Islands and the town of Friday Harbor. It's a great location for lunch and to see Whales.
